New Friends and Old Friends on a Hot Summer Day in Wine Country!

It was a busy day for a Winery Dog at Europa Village yesterday...
Harvest time has already started in the Vineyards of Temecula. I love to wander through the vines during this time of year....we have already picked some of our white wine grapes and are looking forward to the harvest of our red wine grapes...and if I happen to spot a bunny while I'm checking on the grapes then I am always up for a little game of chase!
Yesterday was an exciting day for me.  I was reunited with my Daddy Dog.  His name is Jason!  He is a Border Collie like me but he is Golden in color.  Isn't he handsome?!  Our breeder and Jason's owner Holly from Cutting S Ranch brought him out to see me!
We sat on the Veranda at Europa Village catching up and reminiscing about the days when I was with my litter mates and we used to splash in a little swimming pool.  They even brought out some of my baby pictures....It was a nice visit and I hope Holly and Jason come back and visit me at work again soon!
After they left it was back to work for me greeting guests like these nice people on the Veranda.
Some nice Labrador friends came by and we chatted for a bit over a game of chess...I don't think we were following the rules though, as I'm pretty sure chewing on the pieces doesn't help you win.
Before my day was over I helped unload boxes of wine at the tasting room for Europa Village wine club members to come pick up....its never a dull day being a Winery Dog!
See you all again soon! "Woof!"_ Bella

It's July already?

I can't believe it is July already ...the grapes are getting bigger and "woof" are the days getting HOTTER! Good thing the Villagers at Europa always have a dog bowl of cool water around for a thirsty dog like me on a summer day like today...I wanted to share my adventure at the winery today with you....enjoy! Happy Birthday with Party Guests and PupCakes!

Today was my 1st (7 in Dog Years) Birthday.  After a trip to the groomers for a Birthday bath and haircut I chased some rabbits through vineyard and then raced down to the Tasting Room where my fellow Europa Villagers gave me a suprise party complete with balloons and presents!
Here I am with my owner and our General Manager....I bet he was hoping he picked one of the human cupcakes and not my specially made "pupcake"

The Villagers had cupcakes with my pictures on them....they tried to tell me I would not like the chocolate stuff on the top of them...but I thought they should have let me decide since it was MY party!

But I DID enjoy my PuPcake treat with Pink frosting!

Can't wait to see what adventures the next year of being a winery dog holds!

Bounding Through the Winter Vines....and maybe a bit of mud!

Starting my day looking down over the Winery making sure the Villagers are getting things ready for a busy day of  pouring wine !

Sometimes I like to feel the wind in my fur as I run through the rows of vines....if I happen to spot a bunny to chase on the way...well that makes it all the better!

Running through all the varietals of grape vines over the cover crops that have been planted between the rows is one of my favorite things even when they are bare (it makes it easier to see everything and everyone around)....each season has been a different adventure in the vineyard for a pup like me!

Europa Village's Vineyard manager Ben Drake is bringing his crew to prune the vines back soon and they will be bare until the new buds break out in the spring! I can't wait to watch it all happen again, but for now...

I think I will have a bit of fun in this puddle!....."It IS a dog's life!"
